From Battlements to Boutiques: an Exploration of London's Metropolitan History and Culture
Saturdays at Winchester always mean big excursions, and this week was no exception. Our students headed for the capital for a well deserved treat after a week of challenging work.
They enjoyed a tour of the Tower of London, an important landmark in British history and culture, before walking around Westminster and ending the day with the all-important free time for shopping in Covent Garden. A fantastic time was had by all, with the day offering the chance to both learn more about England's sometimes gruesome history, and to relax and explore some of London's most famous areas.
